What’s in a name?
Jean de Dieu, d’Amour, Fortunée, Dieudonnée, Hippomuscene, Théogène, Vestine… I enjoy finding out people’s names . Most of them seem to have a story to tell and are the fruit of some creativity. My mother told me that she named me José because she liked opera and ‘Carmen’ in particular; so I was named after Don José... I can’t help wondering about the stories behind naming your son D’amour or your daughter Dieudonnée.
